This month, JBT Automated Systems had the pleasure of hosting a robotics workshop with two outstanding student teams from LaSalle College High School and Hatboro-Horsham High School. The event was designed to foster learning, collaboration, and a deeper understanding of robotics and automation.

Students had the opportunity to engage directly with JBT engineers and department managers, gaining valuable insight into the roles and responsibilities that drive our operations. These conversations offered a behind-the-scenes look at how different teams—from engineering to marketing—work together to bring automation solutions to life. The students left with practical knowledge they could apply to their own robotics programs.

A highlight of the workshop was LaSalle’s demonstration of their student-built robot. The team showcased the technical capabilities of their project and shared the collaborative process behind it. Hearing from both schools about the various roles within their teams—from design and programming to strategy and outreach—was a great reminder of how robotics is truly a multidisciplinary effort.

This workshop was a meaningful exchange of ideas and inspiration. It reinforced our belief that the future of robotics is being shaped by passionate, curious, and capable young minds. We’re proud to support these students and look forward to more opportunities to connect, learn, and grow together.
